What is a UAB Loan?
A UAB Loan is a personal loan granted to salaried individuals whose salaries are credited to United Arab Bank. The maximum amount for a UAB Loan is AED 2 Million. The loan is intended for personal use and to be repaid by deductions from the borrower's salary.
Is salary transfer to UAB mandatory?
Yes. For a personal loan it is mandatory that your monthly salary is transferred to UAB.
What is the minimum age requirement for a UAB Loan?
The minimum age requirements for UAE nationals are 21 years?
What is the maximum age at a loan maturity?
UAE Nationals: 65 years or retirement age, whichever is earlier on loan maturity. Expatriates: 60 years or retirement age, whichever is earlier on loan maturity.
How do I repay my UAB Loan?
The method for repaying a UAB Loan is by debiting the repayment amount from your monthly salary when it is transferred to your UAB bank account.
I have just joined my company. Am I eligible for a UAB Loan?
Yes subject to UAB receiving a letter from your employer confirming your employment status and assignment of salary with UAB.
What is the maximum repayment period for a UAB Loan?
The maximum repayment period is 48 months for expatriates and for UAE nationals.
How much can I borrow?
A maximum limit of up to AED 2 Million

UAE resident expatriates working for government /semi government companies and UAE resident expatriates working for employers on UAB's list of approved companies.
What is the minimum Personal Loans for Expatriates loan amount?
AED 20,000.
What is the minimum salary required to get a loan?
Minimum salary required for personal loan is AED 5,000/-
Can loans be given to unconfirmed employees?
No, the customer needs to be confirmed to avail a loan.
What documents do I need?
Salary Transfer Certificate, a copy of your Passport with a Valid Resident Visa and three months/six months of bank statements showing regular salary credits.
When can I postpone my loan installment?
You can postpone two loan installment payments, in a 12-month period.
When can I apply for a top-up loan?
You can apply for a top up loan if you have not utilized the entire eligibility or in case of increase in salary or after completing 12 months repayment on your existing loan.
