What does 3D Secure mean?
3D Secure is an enhanced security feature on your United Arab Bank credit card, which will protect your credit card against any unauthorized use when shopping online on any “Verified by VISA” or “Mastercard® SecureCode™” participating merchant’s sites.
Most leading online merchants globally and in the UAE participate in this. We have built this capability in partnership with Visa and Mastercard.
What are the benefits to me?
Complete protection: Based on the secure and authenticated 3D Secure feature, online transactions like travel bookings, shopping, bill payments, online fines & fees and other online bookings are more secure with the registered password from UAB.
Easy enrollment process:The next time you shop at participating online merchants using your United Arab Bank credit card, you will be prompted to create your 3D Secure Password and your own unique “Personal Assurance Message”. Enrollment is a simple one-time process.
Simple to use:When you shop at participating online merchants after enrolment into 3D Secure, you will be prompted to enter your 3D Secure password. Once you check to see that your “Personal Assurance Message” is what you created, you will enter your password and your transaction will be completed quickly and safely.
In case you forget your permanent password, you can click the “Forgot Password” link anytime and create a new password.
Free of Charge protection for customers: An extra protection is being provided to you without any charges and fees for the entire life of the card.
